AT&T Fumbles at the 1

This morning AT&T started accepting pre-orders for the new Blackberry Z10 phones. Unfortunately if you have any type of discount associated with your account AT&T considers you a "Premier Customer". There is absolutely NOTHING Primier about it. You simply can not place a pre-order for this device if you are a "Premier Customer". The funny thing is most businesses users prefer BlackBerry and have been waiting for this device for 2+ years. AT&T had no problem allowing iPhone pre-oders on Premier Accounts. Why are thay blocking BlackBerry? Seems strange. They are telling "Premier Customers" they must wait until the phone is launched on March 22. again so much for "Premier Customer". Does this company get ANYTHING right?

Evidently they don't. They seem to not like Blackberry. I figure if I have to wait for the phone to be released to place an order I might as well wait a little longer and choose a different carrier for my phone and internet needs.

I was on the Premier site today looking for the Pre-order there, and during a chat with an AT&T rep he basically said different groups offer different promotions and that I should check back on the Premier site on March 22 for the Z10. Very frustrating.

Most AT&T BlackBerry rollouts are screwed up. I just spent an hour in chat with a CSR who thought he/she had a discount code that would work. NOPE. Of course not - it's a brand new phone.

And, I have a grandfathered unlimited plan, and the web ordering won't let me keep it. Just like the 9810 rollout.

If BlackBerry's future is dependent on AT&T sales in the US, they are sunk. Hopefully Verizon is doiong it better.
