Uverse app for iPad does not show all the channels

Seems that the Uverse app for iPad does not reflect all the channels I am receiving. For example I get Bravo HD on channel 1181. I have watched it numerous times. But when I open the app up I do not see that channel in the guide and of course cannot access my DVR remotely to schedule recordings on that channel. I am new to Uverse so I am not sure how many other channels are also missing. Anyone have a fix for this?

gtbessie - There is some kind of glitch on a specific channel. I have the same problem on channel 1012 - CBSNY, It was there & disappeared. I expect it to return as the app is synched with the WRA process. But, it does not.

I reported this to customer care on 1/16/13 & they are analyzing. ( I hope)

Edit: There are actually four versions of this app that are essentially the same -

U-verse for iphone 2.6

U-verse for ipad 2.7.1

easy remote for iphone

easy remote for ipad

Each is somewhat different in appearance.

I am only interested in the remote feature & prefer the 2.6 version. My channel problem is on the 2.6 version. I did not check the others.

You can try the other versions for the application you are interested in. To get the iphone app on an ipad select iphone at the top of the screen.

gtbessie - That's because people have different most watched channels. MIne is 1012. LOL

I had another problem with that channel. For some reason it got lost in the DVR listing. I lost recordings scheduled for two sundays in a row before I figured it out. I do not know if the two are related.

I just know when I crank up the app it says downloading , but does not download 1012.

On the two easy remote apps it lists the fairfield county channel line up instead of the new haven county lineup. BTW, the buddy TV app lists the Hartford county lineup instead of New Haven.

Wouldn't it be great if all this wonderful technology actually worked?

Agreed. Although if it actually worked what would we have to complain about on these forums And 1181 is of course one of most watched channels too.

Yesterday, I noticed the U-verse for iphone v2,6 was updated to v2.7, The first feature listed is support for CC.

I updated my ipad & searched for the CC button, but cannot find it, I added this to the problem list.

Strangely enough I updated my iPhone app and now the missing channels are present. I say strange because now they are there on my ipad as well even though that app did not receive an update. Oh well. At least I have them now.

gtbessie - Glad to hear it.
I was reluctant to do much with the app because the remote aspect is my main interest & it was workable. But, when I saw remote on the Buddy TV that changed. So, I did the upgrade, with no improvement, as reported above.

After reading your post I thought I would delete the existing occurrence & load a new one. When I did that It still showed my previously selected favorites & did not show channel 1012.

The way the process works so automatically is great when the end result is right, but there does not seem to be any way to start with a clean slate.

Sorry to hear updating did not fix things for you. As much as I hated Comcast their app had the ability to choose your own area lineup which would probably solve problems like this.

In this case I have the correct lineup - Just missing a channel.

On the easy remote app I have the wrong lineup (fairfield county) & no way to change it.

On the (non-att) Buddy TV the lineup is specified by entering zip code. They have only the Hartford or Fairfield lineup. I have tried a number of zip codes in New Haven county, but only get the Hartford lineup. New Haven was added back around 2007 or 2008.
