get a skype account and call them, posting in the forum has no affect at all. As long as your BB receipt is for full retail cost then you should be good to go, but you still have to start the investigation proceedure with a phone call.

The problem I am having is: I have received the ATT email for unlock. I did the easy???? restore step but when the phone comes on it is not unlocked, what did I do wrong? could you tell me if you got an specific number (code) you had to enter? I did not get anything, just an email sayin I was approved for the factory unlocked and I got an email with an attachement explaining the 4 steps.

I also had a international SIM CARD, I am in Costa Rica, but wneh the phone in going in to Itunes it says I have a not valid SIM card, what am I doing wrong?

Could you help me?

There is no code to enter. If apple's servers have been updated, then the phone should unlock during the restore process.

If the phone has never been activated Itunes and the phone will require a sim to continue the process since it is Itunes that does the unlock. I pulled a sim from one of our other att phones and plugged it into the iphone, the unlock completed properly.

I contacted ATT about unlocking my IPHONE 3gs, they told me that i would receive a e-mail no longer than a week. Here it is 4 wks later and nothing. When I contacted att about they said they know nothing. Is anyone else having this problem?

yes, I did it already. I put an older ATT card, then the process ended but the phone is not unlocked. I actually never got the message in Itunes that says " Congratulations, your phone is unlocked", I did everything the attachments says I need to do but the phone is not unlocked, why?

You do not know, you can go to the iPhone forum to see that youcan shock, and in countless iPhone from AT & T USA numerouslocks, or may not be able to call, but they adhere to AT & tmake1call, or send e-mail on a daily basis, they arestruggle with AT &t.To's AT & T to increase the working pressure

I hope that AT & T to consider others, unlock, Why do you asksomeone else needs the feelings of the number of ATT? Most of them are non-contract, is to buy the full AT & T for $ 599, maybe they should be eligible to unlock, maybe they also commissionedto buy, I think people can not accept the AT & T to unlock. I thinkmany people know, the AT & T - unlock the chance is very small,to solve this unlock method to relax, but also line up the nextgeneration of iphone5 iphone4S AT & T will bring good sales,many people want to lock. Thank you

AT&T is servicing their past and present customers. all others who bought their locked iPhones second hand take up resources that AT&T would rather use to support their customers. A very good thing btw.

They have lots of sales and if folks from overseas are upset, I don't think they are going to loose sleep over this group. They are probably not going to be a customer in the future and current customers are dealing with longer wait time due to all the requests and probably getting upset.

You need to talk to the eBay seller you bought the phone from. If he doesn't have or give you the account info, you are stuck. AT&T requires certain info; you either have it or you don't.

Called to the Apple- They told me that my Iphone 2g locked with AT&T.

No, you have to call them yourself. Worse case senario find a friend that is fluent in english and sit next to them with the callon a speaker phone

repeated posting here will not get you what you need, the call has to be made by you becasue there are questions that need to be answered. Find a friend or business associate that is fluent in english, or if it that important hire a translator to sit with you while you are on the phone with the carrier.

call the number I beleive the sequence of digits for the prompt is 0 0 1 0 and talk to them. don;t get your hopes up to far, the unlock is not automatic, you will need to give them the att phone number that was associated with the phone or the account number the phone was registered to. If you pay full retail price from an autorized dealer for the phone you will need to send a copy of the receipt to them

Look back a page or so, the text from the FAQS for the unlock requirements are posted.

I was a royal customer of ATT, one day I have to travel outside the United State and I talked to customer service to hold my account, they said they don't have anything like that. I cancelled my service to ATT because of their bad policy. I was 3 years with them because I  thought they have customer service and policy.

Now they have new policy to unlock iphone , now I gave them my  Imei number everything then they are saying it is not unlockable, and they don't have a good reason for that. how it is not unlockable?  I paid full amount,  I was good standing with 2 years contract even though they don't want to give me unlock for my Iphone.

I recommend everybody not to choose ATT for even you have money. They are ripping customer and there customer service is too bad. they are not treating to all equally. May be they are more racist then other carrier service, there supervisor is too bad to explain anythign. shame on ATT, biggest network with poor service.
