I placed an order on oct 2 2012 for the iphone 5 and AT&T canceled my order and never sent me an email or call me. Today I went to check the status of the order online and it says canceled. So I called the rep and they said order is canceled. I am traveling oversear on nov 2nd and if I place an order now i will not be able to get it. I am so mad that I do not want to deal with these guys ever again. Is there something that can be done by at&t now? Can they reserve the iPhones for me that i placed the order for? or can they expedite order for me?

Sorry but your just going to go into the queue from the point of when they re-submit your order.
If your leaving to go overseas then I personally would not order it, as it could wind up coming while your away (which would not be good if there is no one here to receive it).
You'd be better off just calling local area stores (ATT and Apple if available) on a regular basis and hope they get some in regular stock before you leave. Should be some available before Nov 2nd. I've seen there here in stock locally from time to time.

The fact that they canceled is actually a good thing for you, buy it through apple store online between 10pm and 4am for next day pick up and youll have it in just one day, instead of waiting the 14 to 21 business days with att. I tried to cancel my att order myself, they wouldn't let me, I regret not going to apple.com instead. Hope this helps you

I can do you one better. I preordered my phone on September 15th along with my wife. She got her iphone September 27th. I got an email that friday that they canceled my order however they took the money out of my account. I am still fighting to get the money back that they took for the iphone they wouldn't send and when I do get it the best I can do is to get back into the queue and wait another few weeks to get the phone I preordered almost a full month ago already.
