I have had both the iphone 4, 4S and 5. if you have the upgrade available to you, I would choose the 5, it is faster, the colors are richer and it is thinner. i think the 5 is a wonderful phone and enjoy using it

Thank you, that's what I like to hear. Just don't want to make a purchase and then regret it later.
I don't personally own an iPhone, but my wife and daugther do. I can say without a doubt that my wife regretted getting the 4, last year and not waiting for the 4S. The 4 isn't a bad phone, it's just not as good as the 4S. My daughter is getting her 1st real upgrade from her iPhone 3 (arrives tomorrow). I'm very confident that she'll be happy that she decided to not get a 4S, back in June and waited for the 5.

I should have added...
4 members of my family have had iPhones. The only time that they were less than pleased, with the device (iTunes is another issue all together) was when they upgraded the operating system, 2-3 generations down the line, and the new OS seemed to run significantly slower than the prior. As a result, I would always encourage people to get the latest, if they can afford it.

I never purchased anything right when it comes on the market. There are so many bugs with new products. I wait a few months and then take a look at my options. Better to be an informed consumer than a regretful customer with a product that you can't use or work. Usually it takes a bit of time to work out the problems on new products. I feel much more comfortable sitting back until I know that these little quirks are taken care of....I want the laster and greatest, but I have to use my will power and wait untill I know that I will be happy with my purchase...

I have had the iPhone 3, 4 and now 5. The 5 is much improved from the 4. My husband and I have never did the "mid" upgrades like 4s. I have never seen enough improvements with those upgrades. But with they these BIG upgrades I'm always impressed. It was a bit of a wait for the 5, but well worth it..... ![]()

I'm definitely leaning more towards the iPhone 5. Will there be a problem with transferring photos and videos to my computer? I like using my phone for taking pictures and recording videos. Have any of you had problems transferring files to your computer? As I stated I don't currently have an Apple product. I use a PC. Will this be a problem when trying to copy/transfer media with the iPhone 5?
You should not have any problems. The photos taken on an iPhone will show up in any program that reads exteranal camera's etc... As for syncing, iTunes will take care of most of your syncing needs.
Here is an Apple support article. It is a good starting point: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1386
I would also check out www.iLounge.com. They have some good tutorials. www.tuaw.com, and other similar sites can also help.
