iPhone 5 October Orders Thread

Not too sure.  Chances are, you'll be taken out of the queue and put at the back of the line, so to speak.  If you are able to cancel and are willing to possibly wait a little longer, then order the 64GB.

With the proviso that I had to pay through the nose (i.e. $650 upgrade from my BB) because I was only one year into a two year contract, I ordered my Black 64GB iPhone5 on Monday (10/15) and am supposed to receive it via UPS today.

We'll see.

Wow they are really moving fast for you. That is awesome. I've heard the higher you go in gb the less you have to wait, most of the time( just an observation) or at least that is what people have been saying when they show there status on there orders. Well I'm still on backorder I order 9/27 black 16gb in at&t store at about 5pm so I think I'm looking at about the end of the week until I come off backorder and then maybe some time next week I'll get the phone. The dates they gave me for shipment are between 10/16-10/26 so that is exactly from 14-21 business days. I'm hopeful as long as the orders continue to roll out. Good luck everyone and I hope the long wait is worth while!

I went to the AT&T store today and tried to change my order from 32gb to 64gb but they said that I would still have to wait the 14 to 21 days before I could change my order.  So it looks like I'm playing the waiting game...

How long has it been taking people to get their iPhone 5s after ordering them online? It has almost been two weeks since I ordered mine and still haven't received it. Will it really take 3 to 4 weeks?

Remember it is 14-21 business days, and most folks are seeing a shipping time closer to the 21 business days, which will put you close to Halloween... kinda spooky!  :-)

it will most likely take longer than that, there is a huge back log for Apple to fill.

Yes, it does and you need to get used to it.  16gb blk that were ordered on 9/24 are just starting to come off of back order.

Wow lucky you, so much for 14-21 business days! That is really nice for you since you ordered the 64gb they barely have a waiting period. Good luck with your new iphone can't wait until I get mine. Ordered 9/27 16gb black still on BO.

Yup, right on time.

It's really a work of art (visually, of course). I probably won't be in an area with LTE until next Monday, but it works OK on HSPA+. Only issue I've experienced thus far is that when the phone drops to Edge (say, in my basement) it won't switch back to 4G until I do a power cycle.

they are bearly working on sep 24's orders. so i estimate oct 1st order will come off back order in about 2 weeks

Not sure that I understand your logic.  Yesterday, they finished the 9/21 and are on 9/24, this evening (blk 16 GB).  How do you conclude 2 weeks, for orders that were place on 10/1, particularly considering the fact that 9/23 ends the 1st weekend of release, so the huge glut of orders is passed (which is the reason that 3 days of orders came off back log in about 1 1/2 days).

I agree with the above post. The 9/14-9/21 orders were probably the bulk of the backlog, so fingers crossed, let's early October orders will start moving a little faster than anticipated!

It seems like if you order a black 32gb iPhone, you'll most likely will get yours in 21 days from order. I've notice that in the pre-order thread

Hey I ordered on 9/27 16gb black and still on backorder so it's going to be a bit longer for both of us. They started working on 9/24 16gb black orders yesterday evening and if you haven't noticed most of the time they go in order by date. You have 14-21 business days which for me is 10/16-10/25 and almost everyone so far is getting it by no later then the 21st business day(mon-fri). I feel for you, it feels like I've been waiting for weeks, oh wait I have. Well things could always be worse and it looks like the bulk of the orders have been processed so it might move faster by the time it gets to your order date. Keep up the hope!
