iPhone 5 October Orders Thread

Hey guys I just checked my order and the estimated shipping date has changed from 14-21 business days to 7-14! I'm guessing this can only be a good thing(:

10/17 black 16gb FINALLY PROCESSING as of 11/2 midnight !

A lot of you dont realize its different for pretty much every iphone. Whites are moving faster than blacks. 32g and 64g are moving faster than 16g. I also noticed a pattern with the majority of all phones. A lot of people are getting theres off of backorder within the 2nd or beginning of the 3 week prior to the order date for the 16g's. 32g i seen get off b/o within a week or 2 and the 64g get off immediately. Then i see people recieving their shipping and tracking info within hours and some up to 2 days after it got off b/o, some even up to 5 but its kind of rare. I wouldnt worry if you get anything above 16g, your chances of getting it earlier are higher than the 16g's. But the 16g as of now are moving pretty quick. I seen as late as 10/19 for white 16g's and 10/17 as late for black 16g's. I also noticed that within just today (11/1), they managed to get orders 10/12-10/17 off b/o for blk 16g's and get orders from 10/11-10/19 off b/o. Thats the majority, it may be different for you. Their moving pretty quick in my opinion. But this is just my theory and how i see it, just advice to those who are unaware and anxious to get their iphone 5.

I ordered my iPhone 5 today at local AT&T corperate store. On my receipt it says my credit card will not be charged until my iPhone 5 is shipped. But I check my credit card account and noticed, there is a charge in my account. I know I used my card only on 2 purchases, ATT and another purchase. If I'm mistaken, is it shipped, or not? I realized about checking order online, and be patcient.

@MR_SMiT the charges will initially appear in your account right after the purchase just to make sure the funds are available. Then they will disappear. When your phone ships, that's when the charges actually go all the way through and post to your account for good.

Thanks for reply. I do not know about charges "disappearing," and goes all the way throught after the iphone ships. On my past pre-orders, on different purchases, my card gets charged the day it is ship. But I'll wait and see what happens. I'm happy I can get iPhone 5!

No problem! This is my second time pre-ordering the iPhone 5 and it happened to me both times. But every bank is different. I hope it ships soon for you. Good luck!

Soooo......me again. Black 16 ordered 10/13 came off backorder about 22 hours ago, still have NO SHIPPING INFO. Still says "In Progress" and doesn't say shipped.

Am I alone here? Anyone else still waiting nearly a day for shipping info?

Wonder if it's because I am having mine shipped to the store?

I had the same thing happen. The original charge will not "post" to you account. It will show as pending for like 5 days, and the money will show back up in your account. Once your phone ships, they will charge you again.

My BLK 16 is being shipped to Austin, UPS 2nd air. Went out last night from TN. Kinda weird because I read that some people had their's shipped from TX. That would have made more sense for my order but I guess I'll have to wait one more weekend for the phone. Hang tight y'all!

WH 16GB 10/19 afternoon order off backorder at some point last night. No shipping info yet, still pending shipment and processing

For those of you with black 16's coming off BO and still waiting for shipping. After 24 hours off BO, finally got my dang shipping info. (I don't know what the hangup is....but it seemed to appear that yesterday a lot of 16 blacks were coming off BO but not shipping, while the 32 blacks were coming off and shipping an hour or two later).

I now have a UPS number, but tracking isn't available yet. This happened with our white 16 when it came off BO on Tuesday evening, and it's not getting here until today.

So, if by some miracle my phone gets picked up by UPS and processed today, I expect it no earlier than Tuesday, but realistically, with the way ATT has been processing and shipping orders, I'll be surprised if I see it before Wednesday. When I can track it, I will post an update.

Just a thought. If ATT says that iPhones are now shipping in 7-14 days, does that mean that just orders from now on or will orders that were already made when it said 14-21 days now be shipping in the 7-14 timeframe also?
