I ordered a combination of iPhones and Galaxies. The iPhones were obviously back-ordered, but they said they'd ship out the galaxies. They didn't.
Call #1 - "They should ship out soon"
Call #2 - "The galaxies are backordered." No they aren't, there's plenty of supply. "That's what they're telling me."
Call #3 - "They really are backordered." I argue. "Oh look, maybe they aren't. I was mistaken. I'll send a note to the warehouse to tell them to ship the galaxies. That should take care of it."
Call #4 - "Oh, we don't have the authority to change shipments. If you want to change the shipping you have to talk with the escalation team. Here's an escalation number. Someone should call you within four days."
Call #5 - "Sorry, I can't connect you directly to the escalation dept yet. Not enough time has passed. Call back tomorrow and we can connect you."
Call #6 (one day later and after being transferred 4 times) - "Sorry, that department isn't open on the weekends. Call back Monday."
Call #7a - "That item is back-ordered." It's not backordered. "Oh, let me transfer you and I can't speak English so you have no idea what I'm saying anyway"
Call #7b - "Yeah, we can't communicate with the warehouse. There is absolutely no way to do that. They have no phones. They're in an underground bunker without electricity. There is nobody else you can talk to who can communicate with them either." I don't want to give up until you at least transfer me to someone who can try. I've spent sooo much time on this already. "Okay, I'll send an escalation ticket to the warehouse to tell them to ship the galaxies out earlier. Call back in 72 hours so we can tell you that absolutely nothing has been done while making it sound like it's your fault."
Call #8 - (after waiting for half hour on hold... but that's pretty much every call) "Sorry, they can't do it." "They don't split orders."
So I decide to wait until the iPhones are in stock. Which leads to today's call. I want to make sure there are no issues with a combo iPhone/Galaxy order. I know that orders after mine are going out and I haven't heard anything.
Call #9 - "Yes the iPhones are off of backorder and are in the warehouse. expect shipment sometime in this 14-21 business day period we gave you last month" *roll eyes* Great, when will it ship out? "Well, the Samsung is backordered, but don't worry. The iPhones will ship out first since they are ready." Um, that's not what I was told by the escalation team. They are not backordered and I was told they had to ship everything at once. Can you transfer me to the escalation team, it sounds like there may be a problem. "Sure, let me put you on hold for 15 minutes........ okay, I'm back. Everything will be okay, we'll send you an email when it ships. (goes on for another 5-10 minutes." I don't think you understand my problem. Is there a reason you didn't transfer me to the escalation team? They are not open because of the hurricane. "Is there a reason you didn't tell me that in the first place?" "You can call back tomorrow. They might be open then"
Frustrated and angry. They must be told to give an answer even if they have no idea. So much misinformation.

You should have tracking info by tomorrow morning, but hopefully sooner.
