Yea, I used to have a android phone. It was fine, but I live in a "Apple World". Having an iPhone just made it easier with my Macbook and all my apple junk!
I ordered two iphone 5's (WHITE 16GB & BLACK 16GB) early 10/3 inside an AT&T retail store. My order is still on back order. But i did call AT&T (Iv'e been calling them like everyday asking a whole lot of questions 
lol) and they told me that it's possible my iphones might arrive closer to the 14 days rather than 21 days. That kinda made me a little happy.
SInce they have been processing and shipping multiple days of orders in one day i'm guessing that they will start processing October 1st-2nd orders tonight and tomorrow. i really do hope so!!!
I will keep everyone posted on my order status.
Also has anyone did a little research on how the iPhone is made? When you do a little research you will understand a little bit more why the process takes so long.

I wonder about the process of how these are made too. Not just the sequence of how the iPhone is assembled, etc. but how they deal with the 6 different configurations. I wonder if they have two lines (one for white ones and one for black ones) and then have different cycles run for 16, 32, and 64 bit and keep switching depending on the demand and/or length of the run. Or may be they have 3 lines based on capacity and black & white are intermixed? Who knows? That method they use along with the demand for each configuration could have additional influence how fast they come off BO.
Really looking forward to seeing when people, who had their orders entered by October 2-7th, start having their BO indication removed, as mine was entered on Oct 8. I almost wonder if all this waiting and reading about when people are getting their phone has been a good thing for me. Kind of brings me back to when I was a kid anticipating when my birthday or Christmas was coming up. Not that I'm not a kid at heart anymore.
