Hello,
in summer 2007 I bought the brand new first iPhone model via a local marketplace in Norway from a person that had obtained the phone from the US. Since then I have used it with software unlocking on a local carrier.
I have realized that what I have done using software unlocking is wrong, - what should I do?
I found the original prizes from the press release at Apple:
$36 activation fee
$59.99 per month
I have had the phone for around 5.5 * 12 months now, so maybe you want me to pay about $4000 ? How can this be solved?
Regards,
man from Norway

Sorry I am confused - exactly what are you looking for and what is the 4K referencing to?

I never started the (two-year) service agreement with AT&T, which is illegal? So I thought I should pay them back now for the illegal use in 5.5 years.
Not sure about the original iphone, thought they where sold at full retail back then. If the phone was subsidized it has to be activated within I beleive it is 30 days of purchase, if not the account is I beleive canceled and you are required to pay the full etf for the phone
I would recommend that you send a Private Message to
ATTCustomerCare is part of the AT&T customer service team, They may be able to resolve your Issue. You can expect a reply via return PM between the hours of 7am-10pm CST.

Unless you were using AT&T service without paying for it, you don't owe them any money and since you are in Norway, I doubt that happened.
I am an AT&T employee and the postings on this site are my own and don’t necessarily represent AT&T’s positions, strategies or opinions.

If you bought the phone from someone else who bought it in the US, you don't owe anything. The original purchaser would have been the only one responsible for any contract associated with the phone (if there even was one back then). Don't worry about it. Use your phone and enjoy it. You've done nothing illegal, and don't owe AT&T any money.
