getting a iphone 4s at discounted price?

Well jus spoke to atnt customer care about my upgrade which i was eligiable on the 10th of jan 2012... Afhter speaking to them they said they had a bug in the system that caused it to say 2012 instead of 2013 now i have to wait a whole year? Bulcrap if you ask me but now i was thinking of adding a new line to my account and getting the 4s . I want to keep my line active due to unlimited data so do you think i can get a new line to start get the new phone and then drop the data plan and anything that costs anything extra besides the 9.99 a month to add a line and then i would use the nrw iphone with my line i have now? So it would costs 199.99 for the nrw iphone and i would then only pay 10 buck a month for two years of thst contract costong me another 240 plus taxes over the next two years so ibwouldnt cancel that new line. I want the new iphone jus dont have 650 for it and im willing to pay the 200 up front then pay for the add line for the next two years which would make it affordable for me .. would this all work how im sayin? Please advise me the best you could from my knowledge it would work fine

Yes when u put that code in #639* or however it is it would send me a txt sayin i could get in 1/10/12 i called todag and they said it was a mistake for sum reason ... I kno it would deff been early to upgrade but hay if they would give me an upgrade early who wouldnt take it just from seeing that date i got excited for no reason now ... From wat i said in the lrevious post that would work just how i said rite?

If you add an iPhone as a second line, it will have to have it's own data plan. You can't get one and not pay for a data plan. Also since its a new line, you can only choose from a tiered data plan. You can only carry over an unlimited plan if you are replacing the phone on the line that already has unlimited data.

Wat im sayin is get a new line with the phone number being ex. 13 ok now i call atnt tell them i lost my new phone n now im using sum dum flip fone no need for data or nothing lile that jus use it for mins costinng 9.99 for a added line ... N i would then use the new iphone on my current number ... I kno u can drop datta plans and stuff like thay cuz in the past ive lost my fone n tenpoary used a dum flip fone n theybtook the data off jus since i get a new line im not sure if i can say drop my data plan the same day becuase i already lost my iphone n im gonna use this phone that doesnt have a interent or so .. do you get what im sayin... Jus smart phones iphone any htc phone etc. Must have a data plan a razor pgone wouldnt need to have it

What plan are you on now?  If you are on an individual plan, it may cost more than $9.99 a month to add a line.

No i have three lines im sure it would only costs 9.99 ... I jus wanna make sure that if i get the new line that i can take away all features accept calling and i have a razor phone if say im using for that new line cuz the internet is unnesscary ...then the current line i have i would use the new iphone for that line they wont see im using it on my number n charhe the other phone for data ?

There is no reason why you can't use the new 4s on your existing line. You may have to go to AT&T  and get a new sim for it, though, since the 4s uses a micro-sim and the sim that comes with the phone will be programmed for your new line's number. As noted, you would have to add a data plan for the new line when you order the iphone, but the contract only requires you maintain voice service. In other words, yes you can drop the data plan on the new line provided you have a non-smartphone on that line. When you call to have the data plan removed, you'll have to provide the IMEI number for the non-smartphone,

Thankyou very much jus what i asked n perfectly explained i figured it would work yes its a small loop hole but their going to mske 200 up front 35 doller activation fee plus over 2 years 240 dollers so it not a big break for me but jus gives me time to pay it slowly because i dont have 650 to put up for a phone .. thanks so much again

having some problem following your line of thought - if you take the iphone and put it on any other line that currently does not have a smarthphone data plan, one will be added automaticly to the line with the smartphone on it. You can remove the data plan from the line it was originally ordered on as long as you do not put a smartphone on it. To save issues you are better off calling them and tellng them what you ar doing
