I'm on an At&t Family Plan, 2 months ago my contract was renewed and I purchased an HTC One X. Which is an awesome phone, but I'm kinda bored with it.
If add a line with iPhone 5 and put the new sim card into a crappy phone to cancel out any smartphone data plan. Then suck it up and pay the $10 a month 'convenience for having an iPhone 5 and another phone' fee. Will this work?
When I add a line and purchase the iPhone 5, it'll automatically add the data plan. Give At&t a call so they can cancel the data after placing the new line sim-card into a non-smartphone to cancel data
Add Line+ iPhone 5= $210 (+Tax) Correct?
God bless![]()

don;t forget to factor in the 9.99 + taxes for the next 24 months in your equation

Also, the nano sim that will come with the new iPhone won't fit in any other phone without an adapter nor will the sim in your HTC One X fit in the iPhone. You will need a new SIM card for the iPhone if you want to use it with your current number.
