Ordered my 16GB Black iphone 5 on 10/29, it came off backorder yesterday and shipped yesterday! UPS only shows a shipping label created...Once the shipment arrives at UPS, the tracking status--including the
scheduled delivery date--will be updated. YAY!!! much faster than anticipated! Waited about a week, hopefully I receive it on Monday!

Ordered mine 11/3 and it went from "backorder" to "processing" this morning at 11:30!    So exciiiited!  Hopefully it ships today or tomorrow!

*Edit: It was around 9:30 AM that I ordered, 16gb Black iphone 5

still stuck in "processing" - anyone have any idea how long they usually sit in processing before the shipping process starts?  I've seen a few go from processing to "preparing for shipment" or "shipped" in a few hours.

Someone told me they were on processing for one day, others say 2-3, it shouldn't be too long.  I ordered mine 11/3 and it went off backorder this morning at 11:30 so I don't think it'll be too long for us.  Maybe a day or two

thanks, i'm starting to get a bit anxious.  although it is funny to read some of the obsessed commentary of other users.  looks like apple really has their hook in our mouths

But then again, these phones and tablets are just too cool to pass up.  The fact that I can play a nostalgic game of chrono trigger on my phone, on the toilet, is just perfection.

I'm upping from the original iphone 4 (shattered my screen last week), looking forward to the huge boost in power amongst the laundry list of other improvements.

hahahah! I'm in total agreement, Apple really does OWN us practically huh?

But it's all in good fun. Sadly I lost my last iphone (a 4s) because it was stolen right out of my purse! I was in class and I suppose it's my own stupidity for not having my bag right under my foot practically but dang!

I'm just SOOO excited to have an iPhone again, as obsessive as it sounds, it's been truly painful without it! Blackberry has nothing on iPhone haha

Came off backorder: 11/07 morning around 10am pacific time

Shipped: 11/08 4pm pacific time

Scheduled Delivery: 11/12 by end of the day

Hope this helps those waiting for theirs. This forum has helped me grasp a rough estimate of when my phone would ship. I hope my information helps others as well. I was ready to wait a month for the phone. Very glad I didn't have to. Hope all those waiting get theirs soon! Good luck!

Hey guys, I have a question. I am in the process of switching from T-Mobile to AT&T (finally) and ordered my iphone 5 on 11/3. I just noticed that the funds haven't been taken out of my bank account, but intially they were being processed. My phone is on back order, but I'm confused if this is going to actually go through. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, do they take it out when the phone is processed or what?

Funds are finally taken about a day or two after the phone has shipped.
