When will the pre-ordered iPhone 5 ship?

I have ordered on 10/2 and my status is still Backorder.

Guys/ Gals-

I ordered (2) I phone 5 BLK 16gb's on 10-9-12 from customer care, a long with (2) speck candy shell cases via debt card.  My charges were also removed from my acct within a few days.  It's still showing BO!  I'm an ATT plus customer.  I wished this held an advantage for me!  Looking forward to my first ever Iphone, however the anticipation is grueling!

I love how people who ordered mid October are complaining about their order being on back order . I ordered on 9/26 & my phone is just expected to arrive tomorrow. That's a whole month since I've ordered. AT&T Was moving super slow, atleast they picked up the pace & all you later order dates will get your phone a lot faster than i did ! So Calm down & start Complaining once you hit 10-15 BUSINESS Days lol By the way 21 Days Is NOT The Same As 21 BUSINESS Days.

I've order mine through Apple website on Oct 3 and about to receive on Oct 30. Shipping to Plano,TX. I feel for those that are still on BO. I wonder if it makes a different in order process/priority through Apple first before AT&T?

Yeah, but we've seen an acceleration of orders coming off back order (well, except for 32GB black), since late last week when the 9/21 orders (release date) were starting to clear and the massive back log from the pre-order period was gone.  As a result, people's expectations have increased.

Great news! 16GB WHT Ordered 9/29, processed 9/30 about 6:30AM. Came off BO 10/24 around 7PM. Shipping info received 10/25 at 4PM. My phone will be delivered tomorrow. But I'm not leaving you all just yet! I still have to get it from my house which is 5 hours away because I'm away at college lol.

This is what showing up on my AT&T order page. Shipment status stated back ordered few days after my phone order been placed.

It seems like some October orders have started processing. I hope I'll get some good news too!!

Ordered blk 32g iphone initially on 8/15.. found out on 8/28 that it never went thru. 

Order officially went thru 8/29.   Still on backorder. 

This is incredibly frustrating and att & apple handled this sale very poorly.  Had I known it would take so long i would have gone with a different carrier.  They are doing nothing to appease their customers.  The customer service reps are useless and with every phonecall they give me the same answer: phone will arrive in 14-21 days.  Well that is not the case.   I am not doing business with att ever again.

Remember that Apple orders are tracked from China.  It's probably a 2 day trip to the DFW facility (with the customs delay), so I would hint that 10/3 are likely to come off BO tomorrow night or Saturday.

My phone came off BO last night, shipped today... and I'm getting it on Monday. Via 2nd day air. I was hoping I'd be lucky and get it tomorrow.

So, att deleted the censored expletives i wrote on my post. they were clearly censored using various symbols, and i wrote them there for a reason, to share my frustration with their service.
