the forum is primarily peer to peer. Not sure why you feel you deserve coupons or discounts becasue you ordered a popular item that has been plagued by work slow downs, work stoppages, QA problems with phones coming out of the factory with cosmetic damage, Data usage issues, shortages of screens from the suppier and problems with the camera. You think these just might be a reason that there is a shortage of the device from Apple?
Ordered 5 corporate 64gb Iphone 5 for the employees that utilize verizon - target ship date is 11/21/2012, placed an order for a mustang shelby for personal use in September of this year, scheduled to get in around july of next year
Supply and demand is the rule - the supply is constrained becasue of Apple specific issues, while the demand is still there. Not sure where yu got the promise of 10 to 14 days, all I have seen is 14 to 21 work days that has been banded over the net and is verifiable
Dude, it is human nature to complain about something that you want really really bad but can't have. Why do you have to be so logical (like the guy above me said) about all this. We just want to vent! Just let us vent. That is why there are over 2400 posts on this topic of people venting and waiting and wondering why, oh why, are we not getting our phones. We all know that it is this issue and that issue and supply and demand, yadda yadda yadda. The world will return to a normal place once people have their phones in their hand.
Not all of this is the blame of Apple. There are some customer service issues. I called AT&T to ask why I was charged for the phone before it was shipped and I was told the phone was shipped. Even when I told the girl that the order check said otherwise, she insisted that it had been shipped, thats why they charged me for the phone. Well, I still have no delivery and the order check still says on back order. I don't think customer service is being honest with customers when they call.
Obviously someone missed the whiole point of my initial post, which was to bring a little humor to our wait. AT&T could sell us extra stuff at a discount, or provide some interesting entertainment or trivia, they could have a random system that once an hour moves someone to the top of the list.
Additionally, I also have part of my staff on AT&T and another group on Verizon. One of my staff walked into Radio Shack and walked out with a phone. Our Verizon phones did in fact ship within 4 days of order. You see, facts are our friends.
By the way, happy for you on the Shelby order. My hope for you is that your Shelby order doesn't end up like my Iphone order.... that it will now take at least twice as long as what was initally promised with no communciation from the company and no clear timeframe of when it will ship. However I am sure that you will be patient and happy looking at the picture of your Shelby.
For the rest of us, some snacks or refreshments might be nice as we wait. We might as well have some fun!!

truth hurts doesn;t it. Like I said have a eta of 11/21 on the ones I ordered for my business from verizon, sprints orders are a tad bit better 11/18
Owning and running a successful business for 30+ years requires logic and a good business sense to keep both myself and my employees gainfully employed especially in todays economy
