I bet you had an iPhone 5 in your hand when you wrote that... Either way, why would you taunt people on this forum? You KNOW they don't have phones in their hands yet you continue to rub it in their faces.... Don't worry about being the internet crying police, you worry about you. You telling people to stop crying is not doing anything to help the situation. With that being said, I ordered my iPhone on the 27th at something like 3 or 4 in the morning and it is STILL on backorder. Call it crying or whatever you like, but I have never in my life been held hostage like this for anything, let alone a cell phone! How are you gonna charge my account for a phone that I don't have yet, then tell me if I want to cancel the order so I can go and PURCHASE THE SAME PHONE FROM ONE OF YOUR RETAILERS, I can't do that. Just like all the other people in this thread, I was told a much shorter time period before I ordered the phone, and then was baited and switched when the email came stating that it would be 14-21 days. Every single representative I have talked to in the last few weeks has ASSURED me that they have not heard of anyone not receiving their phones within the allotted shipping time frame. I have a hard time believing that after reading through parts of this thread.
AT&T missed a golden opportunity with this forum. With all the time we are all spending on this site sharing our collective Iphone wait journey, AT&T could have provided some sidebar entertainment, or list coupons for various Iphone 5 accessories, or keep us posted with the latest news of what's happening in the real world.
Once my phone comes I will mess all of you, my new friends in the "where's my phone" world..... but I will be too busy dazzled by the faster speed and bigger screen to think much of you. The good news for all of you is that it appears the wait for our phones could in fact be endless, and so we have plenty of time to hang out together.
I am sure my 32g black Iphone 5 that I ordered on 9/25 and was promised in 10 days to 2 weeks from my order date is out there somewhere.....please come home little phone!!!

the forum is primarily peer to peer. Not sure why you feel you deserve coupons or discounts becasue you ordered a popular item that has been plagued by work slow downs, work stoppages, QA problems with phones coming out of the factory with cosmetic damage, Data usage issues, shortages of screens from the suppier and problems with the camera. You think these just might be a reason that there is a shortage of the device from Apple?
Ordered 5 corporate 64gb Iphone 5 for the employees that utilize verizon - target ship date is 11/21/2012, placed an order for a mustang shelby for personal use in September of this year, scheduled to get in around july of next year
Supply and demand is the rule - the supply is constrained becasue of Apple specific issues, while the demand is still there. Not sure where yu got the promise of 10 to 14 days, all I have seen is 14 to 21 work days that has been banded over the net and is verifiable

Dude, it is human nature to complain about something that you want really really bad but can't have. Why do you have to be so logical (like the guy above me said) about all this. We just want to vent! Just let us vent. That is why there are over 2400 posts on this topic of people venting and waiting and wondering why, oh why, are we not getting our phones. We all know that it is this issue and that issue and supply and demand, yadda yadda yadda. The world will return to a normal place once people have their phones in their hand.

Not all of this is the blame of Apple. There are some customer service issues. I called AT&T to ask why I was charged for the phone before it was shipped and I was told the phone was shipped. Even when I told the girl that the order check said otherwise, she insisted that it had been shipped, thats why they charged me for the phone. Well, I still have no delivery and the order check still says on back order. I don't think customer service is being honest with customers when they call.
