Just a thought im already off back order but i think it will help people who are still waiting to come of bo to know, if people from the same order date but also from theyre area are coming off bo. when people come off bo they should also say what state instead of just the date.   i hope i didnt confuse anyone.just trying to help  cause i was wondering before mine came off bo.

I don't think the state would help. They don't do the orders by state. Cuz my two 9/21 white will be shipping to NYC but one went off BO yesterday and the other half an hour ago. If they did it by states the two whites should have come off at the same time.

No problem Yeah. My 9/21 black 16gb was shipped at 7am and just received it an hour ago. It said it arrived at Illinois at 3am today. It was shipped from DFW Airport in Texas.
So they definitely ship them overnight.

I noticed that they ship from different locations in Texas. The black one was shipped from DFW Airport in Texas. And I have another white one that was shipped from Fort Worth, Texas.

wow! glad i found this topic in this forum.

im experiencing the same disappointment as everyone else is!

On Oct. 13 around 8m PT I went into the at&t store. i was so excited hoping id have my iphone in my hand that night! but unfortunately they were out. i shoulda known since its been only 3-4 weeks only since the iphone5 came out. but still... so the rep helped me out with everything and told me it would be in by this week 10/15-10/20 since i live in CA... but of course said the usual 7-14 buisness days for it to come. I kind of regret going through at&t to get the iphone! cuz i was thinking afterwards that if i went through the apple store i woulda got it right there and then right?

anyhow, im tryna be patient about it.  My results so far:

afresa they are still working on 9/24 16gb black orders, they just started coming off backorder last night for that day. Sorry to say it might take longer then a week, but I hope for everyone's sake that they continue filling orders faster now that the bulk of 9/14-9/21 orders have been filled. Maybe you'll have some luck and if you do feel free to pass it around cause we all need it. Hope the best for you on receiving your new iphone5. I ordered the same as you, but on 9/27 and I'm still on backorder.

The Apple Store in my area hasn't had any in stock either. And the order online from the Apple Store between 10 pm and 3 am for pickup the next day is based on their inventory at closing so that's pretty misleading.
