Iphone 5 still processing

Wow, I ordered 2 iphone 5's on 9/22 and was told that I would receive them by Oct 19 by the girl on the phone. SO I start calling yesterday to see if it is shipping yet and what, Still processing.

I chat with AT&T and was told sorry, sorry, and then your phone will ship between 10/22-10/31 wait a Minute!!! I was told on 9/22 the 10/19 date would be the latest day I would receive them and now I am being told another 2 weeks. Really? Sorry , Sorry nothing we can do would you like to speak with someone at apple about the shipping? Yes please , oh by the way I guess that was her way of getting rid of me because Apple said they did not have AT&T shipping information. Great! 2 more calls later and told sorry , sorry back order. Really? I have been with AT&T since they bought out Windstream but have lost confidence in them and not sure if I should accept the shippment IF THEY come or not. Maybe I should just wait and go to Verizon and wait another couple of weeks....uugghh.. I am just Mad AT&T cannot take any blame and cannot do anything to make it right in my eyes. How many times are they going to change my delivery dates? WOW AT&T could at least quit taking orders until they fill what they have commit to.

I understand to a certain extent about the large volume of orders but I am disappointed in AT&T customer Service on how they handled my 4 phone calls and 1 chat experience. I kept the chat log just to ensure how NOT to handle a customer complaint with my company.

I ordered a white 64g iphone5 this morning at an AT&T store and i just received a tracking number.

I feel your pain! I placed my order on the 18th and was told 14-21 business days. My son ordered his and his wife's on the 17th ans have had theirs since last week! My order status still says "processing". I called AT&T and now I'm told they are backordered and shipping date is expected 10/22-10/31. I'm bummed!

Update: Ordered in-store on 9/29, saw this thread, cancelled on 10/10 because I didn't want the stress of waiting/checking/wondering/tracking, called Radioshack/Bestbuys/Apple stores within 20 miles and nothing. Checked my local store again at 10pm this evening... Picking up my black 16g iPhone 5 tomorrow afternoon 3 miles away. Good luck, see you all in 2 years!

We were just checking ours and got the same thing! Now when I go to the page, it says it's under maintenance!

I ordered through Premier on 9/24 and cancelled on 10/8 because they told me end of October for a black 16GB.

Tonight I was able to reserve a white 16GB for In-Store pickup tomorrow in the Apple Store (Oklahoma City). After reserving mine I went back and checked and they had black 16GB and black and white 32GB available until about 10:10 CST.

I can't say I would recommend this method for everyone. The demand where I live obviously isn't as high as it would be in larger metropolitan areas.

Good luck to everyone out there! Thanks to the updates on this forum I was able to make the decision I did and it happened to work out!

I ordered on 9/27 in ATT stores as well and I'm still waiting. I tried checking my order and got the same message...hopefully something will happen and not in a bad way. I don't think I'll be ordering a phone this way again either, it's not worth all the hassle.

Same here... I ordered on the 19th and processed on the 21st. I've been checking my status since 7pm today but it was under maintenance. And it still is...

Looks like a few 9/20 orders have been shipped today. If I ordered on 9/24, when can I expect my white 16gb white to ship??

I really do hope that they will ship our orders like tomorrow, but it's unheard of saturdays shipping, so maybe the soonest would be on monday... At least they should be off back order...

I have been on Backorder=0 since yesterday morning 7 AM. Still no shipping info.

i saw many people got their shipping info within hours of seeing Backorder going to 0.

is anyone else in same status?

Mine still says off backorder with no shipping info but don't fear, they process orders on Saturdays too. My black one got shipping info last Saturday.

As of today ends the AT&T proclaimed shipping date of 14-21 days for me. Today is 21 days later and no shipment. You think with the Billions that these companies are worth they can pay to get things moving faster

Remember that they proclaimed 14-21 business days for us. Obviously to make us think the wait will be shorter—it makes no sense to quote business days in multiples of 7, unless you want to be deceptive.

Ordered and processed Sep 21st. Still on backorder.

Your most likely not going to see any movement for at least a week IT seems that 16g blacks "processed" on the 20 started moving today.

16g white,processed 21st:still no movement.
