I just called and was told my order below was scheduled to ship yesterday but was pushed to the 19th or a few days after. For real? Then they told me all new orders are 21-28 days out, I got on their site to upgrade my other line and it says 14-21 days. Unbelieveable. The right hand doesn't even know there is a left hand, much less what its doing.

Talk to someone at AT&T to threaten to cancel my order and they told me that it will be shipped monday. So I should have it by the end of next week.

Just went to Verizon web site. If you order the black or white 32g today it ship by 10/26. The 16g will ship by 11/2. Much faster then ATT. I ordered on 9/16 but processes on 9/23 with ATT and hopefully will ship between 10/22 to 10/31

It looks like they are starting to work on orders from the 20th today.  That is 6 days from earliest.  So that means it took them 20 real days to work through 5 days of orders.  That would mean

Orders from the 9/21 should start on 10/14/12

Orders from the 9/22 should start on 10/18/12

orders from the 9/23 should start on 10/22/12.

If orders received and phones received stays constant if you ordered on 10/1/12 you can expect your phones to process between 11/13 and 11/17/12.

If you continue the Math unless orders slow or more phones ship per day to get an Iphone from ATT by 12/24/12 you have to order by Midnight TONIGHT!!!!!!!

Cancel the order and go to walmart or target to pick one up. Call them beforehand. My friend did just that

Actualy if you look it does look like they are in general processing processing in order....take out the few anomlies as bad info and it makes a nice pattern....I think many people are confused over oreder date and date processed.  It is when it is processed and put in the que that matters..not when you placed it...

Call in to find your processed date.  If it processed on the 25th dont get too excited...  you are looking at the END of the month...  I would guess 10/28 to start shipping...

When was it Processed??  I ordered on 9/14 but didn't get processed until 9/21 and still on BO.  I am guessing 10/14-10/17 for mine to ship.  Looks like all the orders PROCESSED before 9/20/12 are done...

remember not ordered but placed in the QUEUE...

i think apple is at blame for all this mess. i mean if ATT did have the phones why wouldnt they ship them? altough att should push apple harder to send more phones to them. 

whats the deal with the buy online after 10pm but before 4am that apple is having. i think thats a lil too disturbing. i have call my local apple store several times this week and some days they have say "yes we have them in stock" some "no we dont have them in stock" funny thing is that when they have say that they dont have them, they tell to do the 10 to 4 deal and i can pick it up next day at store!!! i asked how is that possible and they didnt have no clear answer for me. 

apple cant deliver iphone 5, quality issues, ios6, apple maps. i think apple needs to their act together! 

it does seem that is moving foward or so i want to think that way. yesterday people that placed orders on the 19 had their phone shipped. today 1 or 2 people that placed their order the 20th had their phones shipped. so hopefully tomorrow we will hear something about people that placed their order the 21st!

I think huge amount of people ordered on 21st though.. My guess is that it will take much longer for ATT to process orders placed on 21st compared to the orders placed on 20th... :/

I have ordered a 16gb black on 09/21 around 7 pm from the store, and it's still on BO.

It's ok that they cannot ship on time, and they make us wait. Demand is high and they cannot meet it, I get it... What makes me angry is their inconsistency about whether they can cancel the order or not (from what I read on these forums, I havent tried myself) and they don't give us any information about estimated ship dates!! I called many times, and nobody gave me any information! All they say is that my order is 'pending shipment', that's it.

I ordered 3 phones and one of them I am not able to track it using Madclaw link above. I did call a few time regarding that but Att keep telling me my order was fine. Any suggestions what I should do next?

Just letting everyone know to keep track of who is getting what. 

Two 16 black phones, processed the 20th, both came off of BO today around noon. I just got the tracking numbers and they will be here tomorrow by 3 PM.

I will say this thread has made the waiting much easier being able to compare all of the orders.

I ordered a white 16 gig i-phone 5 on September 22. I  called the main number today and was told it will be another 2-4 weeks. My online order shows backordered. 

I upgraded to a smart phone to allow me to do business during a business trip to Europe on the 24th and needed a smart phone by then so I don't have to drag my laptop everywhere. 

I called the ATT store today and asked if I could cancel the order and switch to an Android phone and they told me it is impossible- told me that all I can do if I want a smart phone for business is to BUY A "GO PHONE" with no commitment to use until my i-phone arrives (for $99 per month). 

ATT Customer for 20 years with a monthly bill of $300+ and this is how they treat me? Are you serious? A GO PHONE?  If this is the best that AT&T can do, they need serious help in the customer retention area. 

I get at least 1 letter a week from ATT begging me to add U-Verse...and add my new business office to ATT. No thanks.This has been a simply unacceptable situation that seems to get worse by the day.

I ordered the same day as you, and when I asked a CSR about it via online chat they said the order was scheduled to be shipped some time between October 18th and October 29th. I don't know if it'll be the same for you because of all of their issues, but all hope may not be lost.
