Hello,
First I apologize for my noobness, I've searched and haven't quite found the answer. Basically my phone number is eligible for discounted pricing, so I wanted to buy a new iphone and give it to the other person on my family plan.
1. Is this possible? Do I switch the sim cards?
2. Will my phone number automatically have the iphone data/txt plan attached to it, or how would I remove it?
3. I'm guessing I will have to manually attach a data/txt plan to the new number after it is switched?
I've read about activating the phone through itunes but since I've never done that before I am lacking info on what that entails. I'd imagine that would answer all my questions. Thank you for any insight

Yes this is possible and very easy and discussed her in depth. Order the iPhone on the line that is eligible. Before activating, call ATT to ensure that each line has the right phone attached to it. You can also go into a corporate store so that if you need a new SIM, they can provide one for you and they will swap things around for you.

I have a similar problem but I have already activated my iPhone5. I want to switch my phone numbers with my other iPhone. Is my only option is to go to an ATT center? Will I be charged for a new nano simcard and a micro sim card since my old micro sim in my old iPhone has already been de-activated? Thanks for any support.
