Hello AT&T

sorry for my bad englisch but I'm from Germany and i had a big problem !!!

on a Buisiness trip to Indianapolis i bought a iPhone at BestBuy they said this is not a problem to use this in Germany and now i can't use it!!!

My problem is i'm a German an i Live in Germany and now i cant use it !!!

i have never had an at&t contract or an myAT&T account.

and now nobody wants to help me

Please help me !!!!!!

You have purchased a locked iPhone. The only way to get an unlock code would be to fulfill an at&t contract. The only place you can buy an unlocked iPhone is from Apple. I would suggest trying to sell it on eBay.

Unless you meet one of those conditions, AT&T won't unlock the phone. It soulds like the only way you would qualify is if you paid full price and bought from an authorized retailer.

BTW, why did you buy a phone in the US if you live in Germany? Why didn't you buy a phone in Germany, then you would have gotten one that you knew would work there.

If he paid full price for the phone, he should qualify for unlocking because I'm pretty sure Best Buy qualifies as an authorized retailer. Even if he gets it unlocked, it won't work on German or any other European LTE networks, though.

Which version of iPhone have you purchased?
Regardless of LTE you can still pickup 3G I think with
iPhone 5
