IPhone 4s Question?

Is there a way to charge the iphone while its off? Like completely off and does it have a apps that will play .avi file vid?

To charge the iPhone while it's off you have to plug it in first and then turn it off.

yup facci is correct plug your Charger in it takes upto 20mins or a few mins beofre the phone will comeback on

then you can just turn it of I suggest you put a Sim pin on it cos its annoying if your asleep and the phone has alot of activity going on in the night!

with the Sim pin activated your phone is off till you enter that pin number!

contact AT&T for your Sim Pin code if you enter it incorrectley 3x times it will ask for a PUK Code and you will have to get this of your provider hope this helps

GoodPlayer claims to support AVI files, as does Movie Player.

Yep. Both should be in the App Store (one's foreign, but I'm assuming they've made a version available in the US).

I just plug my 4S in then turn it off, it stays off all night. I have no pin number set anywhere. Does you phone work differently to this?

I just did that yesterday and i found out that it takes longer to charge the phone while its off and as per usage its longer compare charging the phone while its on. CONCLUSION: better charge your phone while it off to have a good battery life.

Prob when charging at night though is it boots back up after 20mins
Not good if ur trying to sleep and the phone starts beeping lol

Pin code cuts that irritance as phone is of till the code is entered!

My phone charges up pretty quick both ways off or on
It's slow on the pc

Mine seems too it has boot back up in about 5 mins before though I guess if the battery is

completely discharged then thats why it takes abit to come back on

when the iphone if turned off  it seems like it takes for ever to charge up. i used to do this with iphone 2g and found it takes to long. now i leave my iphone 4s in sleep mode and charge it up it seems faster this  way.

Yes, its faster to charge as per battery life its also faster. I tried it charging while the phone is off then turn it off. for the battery life for the phone its much better compare charging while in sleep mode. i dont know with you guys though.
