No it's the 19th.  Which is good.  Give a nice seperation between releases (iOS 6 and iPhone 5).  This way there will not be activations from both users upgrading to iOS 6 and people getting new iPhones at the same time.  Less impact on activation servers.

I probably won't jump on iOS6, as I'm not sure what improvements it will provide to older iPhones. No more Youtube or Google maps? What real improvements does it offer for the iPhone 4S? Don't care about Facetime over cell and don't have the plan that AT&T will allow it on. Don't care about Facebook.

And IIRC, the replacement iOS6 Maps app does/will not offer all avaialble features when used on iPhone 3GS and 4 (e.g., no 3D/flyover view)...
