Has anyone ordering from AT&T received iPhone 5 shipping confirmation email yet [ Edited ]

It's getting down to the nitty gritty and I have still not received any shipping confirmation from AT&T. I ordered online from the AT&T website Friday at 3:05am EST. Was congratulated and informed I would be among the first to receive my phone on 9/21. Well its Tuesday and nothing from AT&T yet. Has anyone received their email shipping confirmations yet?

im right there with you. I havent recieved no tracking information at all. it just says "preorder processing". does yours say the same thing on the status? This is ridicolous!

Ordered 2 phones. Both say Processing with no other information.

I to have received my email confirmation at 3:01am EST and it reflected i would have my iphone 5 on 9/21/2012 but as the other it's still stated that the order is still processing and no tracking numbers have been issued yet. I called AT&T today and one of the CSR's told me that when she arrived at the office on 9/14 around 8:00am that anyone ordering an iPhone  after 5:00am then they won't receive their iphone until 14-21 days. I hope this helps.

same deal as last year i have not got my tracking info or email saying it has been shipped. ((WOW)) GIVE AT&T apple time to get the Iphone 5  instock... 

seen this show a  million  times last year. thats why i waited about 2 weeks went to the apple store walked out about 45 minutes  later with a new 4s.

Every carrier received an alottment of inventory to fulfill customer demand.  The iPhone 5 was already "in stock" for pre order sales.  This was taken care of far in advance... so there's no need to "Give AT&T to get the iPhone 5 in stock..."  It already happened.

Same here! The first email saidwill deliver on 21st of sept, and got text after 8hours saying my orders are being processed.  That's the

last time got any updat. Sigh........

Well I just got done yelling at a CSR and he told me if you placed an order around 7am Est the order didn't get processed till later on in the day. I'm so disappointed. This is ridicoulous!

Hello there guys. 

This is my first post in this community, and the reason I registered was to know a straight answer about that if AT&T started shipping the iPhone 5, Yes or No? I pre-ordered mine 10 minutes after the countdown stopped and the pre-order button appeared but the order appears as processing still. Also received e-mail confirmation with congratulations, as well as a text message. 

Or is AT&T is starting to ship on Wednesday and Thursday? Does anybody knows for sure?

In the same predictment as well! My status says "In Progress" and the tracking number says "pending shipment". I'm going to assume everyone that has preordered from AT&T hasnt recieve an email yet. It's completley different from ordering from apple. I know Apple been sending out emails saying that they have shipped customers iPhones. But with Apple their stock is coming from China. AT&T I believe that all their iPhones are in the US and if we dont get an email  by Wednesday night or Thursday morning then I suggest people start calling cause it wouldnt make any sense. Also have any of you recieved the text saying that your preorder has been processed?

I apparently decided to do my own research before registering here, whereas others did so just to complain about the assumed ineptitude of AT&T. The ineptitude lies with the people I just described. Use some reasoning to determine the answer to your questions. If today I used 2-day shipping to get from my house to yours, it would be there Thursday. So chill.

CSRs don't have the ability to track down your specific order in a sea of 300k+ phones in the warehouse. They are simply telling you what they're hearing to get you off the phone so they can get to somebody with real issues. So chill.

If you don't have a change in your order status from processing to shipped by 10pm CST tomorrow, you aren't getting your phone Friday. There's your final answer. So freaking chill.

This will be posted whenever I see somebody else whining.

I'm in the same boat I ordered mine at 12:19 am pst my confirmation email said I would receive my new phone 9/21 and that it was first come first served  basis so I called AT&T this afternoon and he said that I wouldn't get it till October so I'm assuming they ran out in the first 20 minutes  this doesn't surprise me one bit guess I'll just have to be patient good luck everyone

I placed order at 7:30 EST on 9/14 thru ATT.com and Immediately I 've got email saying your order is reserved and will ship as soon as 9/21. On Saturday 9/15 there was a hold placed on my card for 211.99$. Just about an hour back now (10:30pm on 9/18 est)I have received another email saying that my order is reserved and will ship as soon as 9/21. Also I had a chat with a CSR this morning she had told me that all orders placed before 9am PST will be shipped/delivered on 9/21.

If you go to the ups website and up at the top click on tracking. On the left hand side, there is a link to track by reference number. Click on that - in the reference number, put your cell phone number, your country and zip code. I kept checking my status update from apple and all it said was processing for shipping. Checked on ups and it says its being delivered by Friday!

You didn't read the thread title.  It says "order[ed] from AT&T."  You ordered from Apple.

AT&T orders will ship via FedEx.

Just to let some people know I just check my status regarding my Iphone 5 and I just received a tracking number from FedEx! Most likely people are going to be receiving their emails today. If not then you are probably not getting it on Friday and going to have to wait.

Strike that.  I was wrong.  My order will be shipped via UPS Next Day Air Saver.  Delivery by the end of day.  The AT&T website (eroneoulsy) says it was shipped on 9/17, but the order still shows "In Progress."

From UPS:

Order Processed:  A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

UPS has received the electronic transmission of the shipment details and billing information for this shipment from the sender. Once the shipment is moving within the UPS network, the tracking status will be updated.

Shipped/Billed On: 09/20/2012

That's the opposite of how I remember.  My previous orders came via UPS and the Apple orders came via FedEx.

In case it makes anyone feel any better, it's the same with Apple.  I ordered from Apple and haven't gotten any shipping info either.  My order is shown as 9/21 delivery, but is still shown as "preparing for shipment", where it's been since Monday.

Apparently it's a little different this year cause now Apple is using UPS with its orders and AT&T is using FedEx. But finally recieved a tracking number and tomorrow it should leave the facility. Will update if that happens next.

Based on the info on the "Post a Picture" thread.  It seems that other orders are being shipped via FedEx.

Is AT&T using both shippers to spread the volume?  Shipping from more than one warehouse?  UPS for Dallas local shipments?  You're guess is as good as mine.

I would be curious to see the shipping origin(s) for both the UPS and FedEx orders once that info is available.

I received the same mysterious email you got at 10:20 pm on 9/18 est.  I too did not order my phone until 6:00 am est on 9/14.  this morning I checked my order status from the link in my original order confirmation email and now it says my order was shipped on 9/17

What answer were you looking for?  Until people start posting that they got their tracking numbers, no one knows for sure when they will ship.  Everyone here is waiting to get their shipping information.

Yes, it started listing tracking numbers on 9/19.
