Does the iphone 5 really scratch easily or is it being overblown like the antenna on the iphone 4? I have a 4 and never had a reception problem.. I did get the free case apple offered, well because it was a $30 case for free. I use it occasionally because it does offer a little more grip. I've had the ip4 since its release date and have never used a screen protector and have minimal scratches. Have to hold it at certain angles in bright light to see any. Never found a screen protector that felt good to use. I'm considering an upgrade to a 5, but decided to wait this time to see what other people thought. Don't really like cases much so if it scratches easy may Waite to see what the next one is like. Don't really have any complaints about the 4.

My white iPhone seems to be holding up pretty well. So far no scratching. I glad I made the switch this year from my normal black to white this time.

I was wondering about this as I've read lots of reports online! Think my next may be white as well!
Really wish they'd just go for a back that is functional, not pretty! Most of us use cases anyway, so there's no need for the back to look nice, IMO. Why not a graphite-type back?

It doesn't look like the backs will hold up for long...get a clear protector for the back, just like all the rest.
I REALLY wish they'd give up on these nice looks and just make the backs and edges out of something that won't scratch, or be easily seen if it does.
Are they already for sale over there?
