when downloading an app to my Android phone, it gets stuck on the install step

When downloading an app to my Android phone, it gets stuck on the install step and just shows as "Installing" and never ends. I had this problem in the past and was able to find something on the net about clearing cache (I believe) but cannot find it again. Very frustrating experience. Can anyone help?

You're probably thinking of clearing the cache for the Play Store. Go to Settings>Apps>Google Play Store, and see if that helps.
