What AT&T is going to do is push the shiping date up day by day i bet. Until 11/9, then it will change to back order or "7-14 business days"

Once I have confirmation from a local store (Thur the 8th) that they have the Note 2 in stock, I will cancel my preorder. I'll be waiting outside the at&t store when they open Friday.

I will also verify with the local store if that is what I should be doing. Being that I'm a new customer (not sure why at this point) I don't think their system saying I'm eligible is as much of a concern.

If that doesn't work ... I'll go back to Verizon & use a grinder to take the logo off the home button. I realize that I would have to wait until the end of the month, but his is just sad at&t.

I've preordered my fair share of phone this one is the most memorable, for unfortunate reasons .

I had a short conversation today with the manager of my local AT&T Store (Central California Coast /San Luis Obispo)

They said they are expected to get a 1st batch of Galaxy Note 2's later this week. They did confirm nothing has arrived yet and nothing is in "hidden stock - to only be released Nov 9."


The positive piece of news is that I got a confirmation that AT&T will email each of us with pre-orders a FEDEX Shipment Tracking Number immediately when the phone leaves the Texas Warehouse.

So I'll try to calm down, and hopeully in 24 hours I'll have a tracking number from AT&T in my inbox.

Remember AT&T store will not cancel your preorder there as they dont have authorization to do so. They also dont know how many they will get in stock, the day, or hour when they will come in. It could be risky doing a cancel on the preorder. Because if you do cancel, everything has to be perfect in the system per AT&T store.

spoke with lady who said that when you call to cancel order bcuz u r looking to buy phone nov 9th, be sure to call your local at&t store first to make sure they r wven getting the phone and that when u cancel order, tell them to do an upgrade reversal! so that u can be eligible for the upgrade come friday

If it came down to me having to do that (Which I hope it doesn't D: ) I would just go to the store before I cancelled, tell them I want a note 2, have them physically pick one up so I can see it is actually there and available, and then call customer service to do the upgrade reversal.

Just tried to cancel my preorder. Received an email saying my request was denied. Maybe this is a good thing???

Same thing happened to me. I wouldn't put too much hope on it, CC's are not charged yet and I have been told they would not ship until Nov 9th at the earliest, and that's best case, and to not expect it until sometime next week

HAAAAAAAAH not even going to wait that long. Like I said earlier. I'm on vaca and I want this phone before that. I will call every store within a 25 mile radius until I get that phone Friday

Conversation chat I just had with AT&T Rep:

Andre S.: I checked it out and the regular scheduled ship date has changed from the 6 to the 7th due to the high amount of orders but if you ordered before and it said the 6th your device should already been shipped out and you should receive it on the 9th.

A-N-D-R-O-I-D: so that information you gave me, did that come from a manager?

Andre S.: No it did not, that is the information that we have available to us at the moment in the system

A-N-D-R-O-I-D: so is it possible these people havent received shipping information but will get the phone tomorrow? even though the credit cards still need to be charged?

Andre S.: From the information I have available the phone should arrive on the 9th which is Friday however so people may get it earlier.

This makes sense to me. I could totally see them doing batch CC transactions possibly at midnight or something (but I would have assumed it would have happened at midnight in the 5th/6th transition) and that if you places your pre-order earlier you should be able to get yours on time.

Thanks for the effort you put into this call. However, reps are giving us so many different answers. Just a waiting game.

I just got off of the phone with a very nice woman, she told me my phone is in the warehouse, and that the actual ship date was postponed until today, and all units should be shipped out by tonight. 

Now, in the past 5 minutes, how many other stories have people heard?

This is the third time i'm hearing this about if "you placed your order before 6th you should get phone by 11/9 or 11/10" pending what type of shipment. So lets keep our eyes open for that charge tonight or tomorrow afternoon (11/8).

This is the way that Google Play did there Nexus 7 Tablet when I preordered, and I actually end up getting it on time.

Supposedly reps just got official word that "they are running low on inventory.  Customers will be emailed shipping confirmation when their phone is sent out."

I just checked my order and it says shipping today Via USPS and also doesn't show a tracking number yet. I'm surprised they're using USPS, I've ordered from them previously and it's always been FedEx or UPS. This should be interesting....
