Doesn't make sense to push the phones out in the stores and not fulfill the Pre order ones first. I can't believe how not any single rep can provide an accurate answer

Check again, because mine was charged and then late yesterday it was put back on.

Just did check, it was cleared 2 days ago. *shrug* I mean, what's an extra day. If I get it after tomorrow I will be calling to ask for my one day shipping fees to be returned, but oh well.

Call the order status departmnet 1-866-391-0749.  She wasn't sure if she could cancel, since I chose not too, but she said if it could be cancelled, you should have no problem if you want to pick one up at a store as far as using your upgrade.

Rep told me that it's better not to cancel because if the stores might just have enough, there's a possibility that they put you on a back order too. So once u cancel and leave you're spot, you hve to start over again. Wow att just sucks! And not in a good way!!!

Fri, if my order hasn't shipped and they haven't charged my card I will go in and try and buy one before canceling. Reps can't even get on the same page. Arghh office bureaucracy!

Not as far as pre-orders, they go out of their way to say that the ship dates are "expectations" only and circumstances can delay the shipping...

I preordered on Oct 24th once the orders popped up... no CC charge or anything.  AT&T really needs to address this ASAP.  It's infuriating that they will bend over backwards for when a new iPhone comes out but leave all other phones completely in the dark.

Spoke with a Rep today and was told for the 1500th time that the phones were sold out and on backorder. Asked the rep if anyone received the phone and was told that no one has received it yet. So how you sell out of something that no one has and before it goes on sale Nov 9th. His response: you can cancel your order by calling customer service. AT&T really do SUCK !!!!

What I don't understand is why all these reps tell us different things! They are so unorganized. I have been told that the phones are back ordered, some told me its already on its way, some assured me I will get it before Friday, and then just yesterday the rep told me it will ship 7-10 days. ? ? I asked for the supervisor and she didn't even know that there is a Nov 6 shipping. What the ?? Useless people.

Called 2 local at&t stores, one says they have a few but wouldn't tell me how many, so I think he's full of it. The other said they will see them before noon tomorrow (Thur the 8th). I will call again tomorrow & if they receive the phones I will cancel my preorder and just pick one up in the store.

This company is crap.  I placed my order on the 3rd.  Got email confirmation, order number, activation code.  Yesterday after noon my card was charged.  Full amount is still off my card today.  So I checked my order number, and it was coming up as invalid.  So I called them, after speaking with 3 people they refused to believe I made my order on the 3rd, somehow they have it as being made last night. 

I asked when it was going to ship and they told me no phones will be out before the 9th.  And that since mine was made yesterday its on Back order.  How the heck can they charge me, before they now say they have the order, and then place me on back order with no info when they already got paid. 

If it wasn't that I am grouped in on a family plan that lowers my bill each month I would of canceled service this morning.  As it seems going through them was pointless, you have better luck at the store or Best Buy on Friday.  Not happy about this at all.  I asked for a refund on my card and was told they can't do it at this time.  So I am out $316, and have no idea if or when I will receive my phone. 

At&t really needs to get their crap together.

Was told - sorry - shipping next week. I ordered w/in 15 min of availability and didn't get any notice. AT&T has a lot to learn in this regard.

I was told that the orders were to be processed in the order it was received.  I preordered mine on the 25th around 2pm.  They still havent sent out any notice on the shipment.  Different reps say that the phone is in the warehouse and awaiting labeling (whatever that means).  I spoke with a rep this morning, she said it will go out today (to those who preordered early).  I'll post when my shipment goes out today (if it ever does).

i remember ordering an iphone 5 and before it even shipped, at&t said they couldnt cancel my order. all i could do was refuse the package but once an order is placed it cant be cancelled. only returned. after that it took me about 3 weeks to get my money back

Also just called, was told I would receive it sometime next week maybe. They did say the stores would have them and I could go to the store, pick it up there, and there they could cancel my preorder. Whatever you do don't cancel your preorder because a service rep tells you you could pick it up in-store. That in no way is guaranteed and likely it would not turn out a good day for you.

That's exactly what I will be doing. If I can get my hands on one, I am definitely canceling the preoders. Worse preordering I have ever been a part of.

But the catch 22 is if you cancel your preorder,

- Will the upgrade revert back seamlessly, how long does it take to update in system

- If you cancel preorder, by the time you get to store will they have sold out and now we back at square one

I contacted the AT&T store and they said they don't know how many they getting in, it could be 1, 5, or 10 who knows.

And they said it would need to show in there system that the order has been cancelled (and that the upgrade must

show available (for example, my next upgrade is 2014 because I upgraded with preorder). Just to note, you can

not cancel your preorder at AT&T store as they dont have authorization to do so with online orders. So dont let

this AT&T rep tell you that.

So I don't know if its worth the risk of canceling for those factors. You cancel, then you read this post of people

saying hey we just got shipping confirmation\tracking information, LOL. Trust me I'm torn to. They are messing up

preorders, what make you think they will cancel the order right and revert the upgrade.

I was just told by a CSR that I could call up and cancel if I hadn't recieved the phone by the 9th and go into a store and get one without waiting. 

I love how every CSR has a different answer.

I don't think any AT&T store should get shipments until "ALL" preorders are shipped to the people who waited so long. Because if AT&T stores are getting shipments, it will delay us getting phones shipped and we are the ones who took time out to preorder early.

Its funny how all these people on You Tube get Galaxy Note 2's  to drop test, scratch test, water proof test, etc for "FREE", but we paid and cant get a ounce of information.

I preordered the gn2 10/05 and it stated expected shipment 10/06

JUST NOW,

I was told backordered with no further information and to call the 866-499-8008.

Then I was given an option to chat with a different department for specifics and was told that it stated it was processed and to call the number again.

12:19pm - I am now on hold

12:25pm - Being to hold again

12:28pm - Now told begin shipping NOV 9th, 2012 - Should be received by week of NOV 12th. She stated that information was received Nov 6th and is the latest most accurate information.

12:33pm - I stated beginning shipping does not mean mine will ship NOV 9th, she stated that was true. I told her to inform the online ordering department it falsely states NOV 7th to start shipping because it is false information. She stated she would "cascade this information to my supervisor" to make sure it gets addressed.  I asked her what is the best way to get the most accurate information on my order - chat assistants online, the 877 number online or the 866-499-8008 number. She stated her department gets the latest information and to call hers. She stated these phones will ship from Ft. Worth, TX, and when mine ships, I will be e-mailed and to wait for that e-mail.

INCONSISTENCY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE MAKES CUSTOMERS UPSET!
