This is my 3rd ATT phone in as many months. The first phone an LG Nitro died 26 days after I got it, the second phone an HTC One X had signal problems and poor reception which lead to it being returned for my current HTC Vivid. This HTC Vivid has signal problems (though less than the One X) and at times when I connect on a phone call no one can hear me.
What is going on with your hardware ATT? it is horrid, your 4G service is completely unstable and just a waste of my money. I pay an ungodly high bill for your terrible hardware and service.
Things I have tried:
-restart phone
-remove battery and restart phone
-check for updates
Things I want to try:
-hit phone with hammer
-kick ATT in the junk
-drop all ATT service and move to sprint for less expensive service with the same phones available
I am an extremely dissatisified customer at this point and I have only had one moderately good experience with your customer service through all of this.
[Please keep it courteous]

Maybe you have bad reception in your area? Do you have better service in another location? Maybe outside or driving somewhere else
You can let AT&T know where you have bad reception and they say they will fix it but who knows how long

Yea, I don't think downtown Seattle, WA or its subburbs is bad reception area. I have bad reception driving, sitting still, under a celphone tower, etc. The phone itself is also not working well, it is starting to randomly drop my 100% wifi signal at home when sitting right next to the router. It is just really not a good experience for me the last 3 months. I am ready to pay the early termination fee on all 3 lines and drop ATT like a hot potato over this abysmal service.

If you still have AT&T and the HTC Vivid, I don't think the problem is AT&T, I think it's the actual phone. I have the same phone and I get the same signal loss, I live in a rural area of Oregon and sometimes I get 3 bars and other times I get no signal. When I drive to work I usually get full bars and the 4g but a lot of times I get no signal and if I do not check the phone within a few hours, it drains the battery until it's dead. This is my 2nd htc vivid, which is a waranty replacement phone, the 1st did the signal loss constantly and now the new one does it again. Many have said that its a manufacture flaw, they should do a major recall on them to fix the problem. I think the problem lies in the fact that the internal antenna on this particular phone is bad, someone said to place aluminum foil within the antenna to help it's strength. I think AT&T should be able to replace the phone at no charge for another phone, my friends have no problems with the I-phone and I think I will go that route in the near future. By the way, I had an HTC Hero before this phone with AT&T and it worked great, it just wasn't 4g, so I know it's not AT&T.

I'm surprised you had issues with the one x. Both me and my wife have the one x and they have been fantastic. We are in Lynnwood, so probably not far from you. I have no experience with a vivid so can't comment there.
