HTC Vivid Reboot Loop

My HTC Vivid is in a reboot loop..However, this only happens when it's NOT connected to the charger. If it's connected to the charger, it's fine and works perfectly. When it's NOT on the charger, it powers on, loads everything up, stays on for maybe 30 seconds then restarts itself. It does this until the battery is drained. What is the problem and has anyone else's done this??

Okay shot in the dark, I had a Nokia do this (I know, I know, shocked I was too), But I replaced the battery and it quit.
