user manual

this is a first. I bought an LG phone from ATT and there was no user manual.

I called att and was told the phone did not come with a user manual, and if i wanted one I had to download the manual from LG. 114 pages! Unable to create a booklet, I had to print the pages.

An att customer for decades, with uverse, home phone, internet and three cell phones, I get a product with no user manual. Wondering if Infinity would like my business.

Contact LG. They are the ones that put the manuals with the phones, not AT&T.

Cell manufacturers don't include a paper manual with cell phones anymore. You can download the manual to your device without printing it..

I bought the phone from AT&T, not LG. My funds went to AT&T, not LG. What new phone does not have a user manual? So, to get a manual I have to print a 114 page 8 1/2 X 11 book?

It appears AT&T places little value in my 50 years of business, currently: Uverse, my home phone, Internet and three cell phones.

Your loss.

LG, and other cell manufacturers, do not include a paper manual. Most include a quick start guide.
You do
not have to print the manual. You can download and save on your phone.

My first smart phone, a Samsung galaxy S3, from Verizon, did NOT include a
paper manual. Neither did the Droid phones from Verizon, or the iPhone I
bought directly from Apple.

It has NOTHING to do with AT&T.

come to think of it, I haven't got a manual since the older basic phones. None of the smartphones came with a manual.

Hi @submariner1

I’d be happy to help with your new device! I can confirm that a large number of current devices do not include a physical manual. This is a decision made by the device manufacturers.  To obtain the user manual for your new device, LG offer the documents in download form via http://www.lg.com/us/support/software-manuals

For additional tips and tutorials on using your new device, we offer video guides, as well as interactive and step-by-step guides at http://www.att.com/devicehowto. Simply choose your device model, and you will see a list of categories for which we can offer guides!

Alternatively, you can reach out to LG directly to find if they are able to supply a physical copy of the manual upon request.

Hope this helps!

You can take your business to another carrier and probably have to buy a new phone. But you won't get a manual from them either, so what would be your next step? Just curious.

BTW, I bought a G3 and an i6 in November and neither has a printed manual. Most software you buy now-a-days doesn't come with a printed manual. It's the wave of the future.

Yes, while much of my software is the same as the day I bought it, updates change things all the time. A printed manual would be useless in no time.

I understand your frustration. However, if you think about it, having a manual required a lot of paper, so to reduce the paper waste, not including a manual book is actually beneficial to the enviornment.
