I have been using family map for several years without problems. When I went to the iPhone 4S, I began having an issue with it working consistently. I can open the application. I can log in and find a phone. It will work perfect for a few minutes, then suddenly after it locates the number it puts the icon off the map. If I drag the map down to find the icon to click to "relocate" it will do nothing. I end up logging out and logging back in. This fixes the problem until it does it again a few minutes later.
I have reinstalled the application numerous times. I have loaded it onto similar phones with the same result. I called AT&T and they are no help telling me they are not aware of any problems with the family map application. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am tempted to drop AT&T and go over to Verizon and try there location application on the iPhone.
