Mobile Share Data Plan too good to be true?
Have been very hesitant on giving up my unlimited data plan because I have had it for several years now; even when they put the squeeze on us with the “top percentage users throttling thing”. If I am reading the Mobile Share pricing chart correctly:
4GB plan with one smartphone + 1 smartphone = $110/month
Or
4GB plan + 2 smartphones = $150/month
Because the ladder will save me some money, whereas the second will not. Just trying to make an informed decision before I cripple my data usage forever.

this is a peer to peer forum, jamileh might chime in or one of the other official att people.
70.00 will get you 4GB, unlimieted voice, unlimited text shared between up to 10 devices
80.00 will cover two smartphone on the plan @40.00 each
-------
150.00 subtotal
???.?? unknow, taxes, surcharges, federal recovery fees that are added to your normal bill now will apply to the new one
but look one notch up, due to the lower price of the smartphones it would only be 10.00 more for 2gb more, less then the 15.00 overage charge for exceeding the 4GB
90.00 - 6GB data
70.00 - 2 smartphones @ 35.00 each
--------
160.00

If you have multiple lines and depending on how you use your data, it can be a great move. If your household only has 2 smartphones, and your data usage on both is high, it might not make any sense. Also, for "dumb" phones, its pretty much a bum deal.
But if one person uses much less data than the other (for 2 lines) it can payoff. With households with 3 or more smartphones, or if you call or text a lot (since both are unlimited), or if you have any devices like tablets (only $10/month!) that you want to put on the data plan, its probably a good switch.
