Is there a way to check voicemail by dialing your own cell phone number and then pressing some key to enter into the voicemail box? Whenever i do this, it just skips the intro and beeps for me to leave a message. Is there a key that takes you into the voicemail box to check messages?

You can call your numbes from a landline, and when the greeting starts playing, you hit the # key.
That will skip the message, and ask you for your voicemail pass code. Once you enter it, it takes your into your voicemail box.

You need to hit the * key if you want to check the messages. # key will skip the greeting and you will be leaving a message.

Oops I knew that! My finger went to the wrong button as I was typing!

I spent so many years with TDMA phones that I still press the wrong one.
