I have a MicroCell and it has been working fine, recently my wifes phone stopped connecting to it. We both have the same phone, Samsung Galaxy 3, mine connects to it as soon as I walk in the house or get within range of the unit.
My wifes phone sometimes never connects unless I shut off the radio by going into aircraft mode, turning the radio back on makes it connect. Sometimes it will connect on its own, most times it will not.
Both phones are new and have had no issues with them, latest firmware from AT&T so obviously they are not rooted.
I have tried every suggested thing on the forums, but most pertain to the iPhone issues.... I have reset the tower with the reset button, unplugged it and left it unplugged for a minute or so. This has not helped, I have not tried to decommison it and recommision, can't see that really doing anything seeing as it will connect when forced.
The settings on the tower are set for "hand offs", looked over both phones and confirmed the same settings on both. Both phones also have the same service level when connected to the tower, between 1 and two bars.
Does anyone have any clue as to what I can try next? it is getting frustrating and I have to listen to my wife complain about it all the time, apparently me saying "Mine works fine" is not the answe she is looking for! Please, someone end this problem for me ![]()

How do you set the MicroCell for "hands off"? There is no way to configure it as far as I know so I'm confused. I would try to to re-register the MicroCell with just your wife's phone on. Doesn't make sense but who knows? Maybe your's has a better antenna that her's. We've had a couple of iPhones connected at the same time and not seen any issues.

No worries, well I tried what you said, I removed my wifes phone from the approved list, added it back and it told me to turn her phone off and back on. Since then it seems to be connecting fine.
This has to be done while close to the MicroCell.... I will update in a few days with the final results.

Well I return home after being out for a few hours, and now neither phone is connecting to the tower on there own. No odd status lights, everything is on as it should be with nothing flashing and both phones are roaming... lol The only thing left to do is recommission the tower. Just looked down at my phone and it just went over to the tower. Are they normaly that slow at moving over? It seemed like when I first got this up and running, I would return home from work and as soon as I walked in the door it would change over. Very weird to say the least.

Cool. I just purchased an iPhone 5 so as soon as I get home (out of town for the weekend) I'll see how it goes with my MicroCell. My son has an iPhone 3GS that works perfectly on our MicroCell so we'll see what happens with the 5.
