MicroCell not working

Anyone having trouble with their MCell this morning? mine is not working? Is anyone else out and do you know if they are working on it?

Where are you located? There have been issues reported from Maine, Connecticut, Massachusettes, and New York. I take it that your 3G light is blinking green?

I am in Englewood, FL everything was working last night but this morning the ony light on is the power light . none of the other lights or are or blinking.. I did a reset, and nothing , I unplugged it from the modem and waited and plugged it back up, still nothing. Do they ever burn out ? just wondering, I've had mine for a few years now and this happens sometimes but it usually is because there are outages in Tampa or our area. Any ideas?

All of the lights off except the power light is not good. When you say you unplug it from the modem I'm assuming you have it setup in priority mode: modem -> MicroCell -> router (if you are using a router). What is your setup and is your internet ok?

Failure here in So Cal also. ATT finds no problem on their end; all trouble shooting steps done. ISP Charter cable finds no problems with cable modem settings (which have not changed). Any other reports from So Cal area? MicroCell has worked mostly well for two years. No changes on my side to account for it Suddenly down for last 36 hours.

Yes, I have Verison FIOS, and everything is fine there, it just the Mirco Cell and it just happened today out of the blue

Sounds like what ever happened on the East Coast may be starting to cascade throughout the system. A bad update maybe? I would start PMing ATTCustomerSupport (see my sig for link) with your issues. The sooner that AT&T is aware of it, the sooner the net engineers will look into it. Make sure you tell them where you are located.

Ok, I called tech support and they said it was the Micro Cell unit had died And he said go buy a new one and the would call me back to help set it up. Well, I went over to the AT&T store and bought a new one $199.00 they cost new ! Anyway, I brought it home and hooked it up myself and was up and running within 20 minutes. The one that died I bought in 2010 and it's funny this one I bought was made in 2010, hope it last longer than 2 years or I hope AT&T gets us some decent coverage. We are about 200 yards from LTE service down our street and yet we have awful reception in our house and yard, even the AT&T lady couldn't believe where we live and that we had such awful service

Prob in So Cal resolved. After multiple sessions with AT&T support and my ISP, Charter, I chose the least expensive recommendation, and installed a new wireless cable modem / router. Issue for AT&T was that port 4500 seemed blocked, inspite of fact that my modem settings showed it open in both directions. The microcell activated right away once the new modem was connected.

Kudos to AT&T for service I received, and glad not to have to buy another microcell. I expressed my appreciation for the US-based Support agents; was a relief to not be coping with the cultural and language barriers of talking with someone in Utar Pradesh, Ghazni, or Kyrgystan.

That's good to hear. Port 4500 seems to be the culprit in a lot of cases.

I have been expericing the same outage, around the same time as the guy above..

I am so bummed with this service.

Not looking forward to dfealing with them, and hearing, is your router working? Is your internet ok? blah, blah... Just cant wait till my contract is done.

Well, I went out and bought a new MCell and everything has been fine since. I never realized that they died, but now I know they do.

Well. like anything electronic that you keep on 24/7, they will eventually fail. Mine's almost 3 years old now so it's probably just a matter of time for me. At least you're up and running again.
