I have an unlocked LG Prime GS390 that I bought used. It won't connect to either of my microcells. The phone works fine and this cell number has worked on the microcell before, but for some reason it doesn't seem to even recognize the brand and model of this phone. Any help?

Did the LG ever work before on the MicroCell? Some unlocked phones won't be recognized by the MicroCell because of the way they were unlocked.

It has never worked on the microcell. But I would think it should as it is 3g.
Edit: Is there any way to change how it is unlocked?

I haven't unlocked a phone in years so I don't really know how they are done nowadays. Unlocking sometimes can change the configuration settings to the point that the IMEI codes etc aren't broadcast anymore so AT&T has no way of verifying that it is a legitimate AT&T 3G phone.

Thanks. Any suggestions?
There's no reason this phone shouldn't work.

Sure there is. It's not a legitimate AT&T phone, at least as far as AT&T is concerned. Only AT&T authorized phones will work with the MicroCell. There may be an exception or two to that but I'm not aware of any. There's nothing you can do.

Trailhog, you have been told twice now, that if your phone is unlocked it may not work. Secondly, this phone was released in 2010 with EDGE data, I doubt you would even connect to any 3G services, the phone is not compatible with the MicroCell (Datawise). I am unsure if the phone would even work on the Microcell....
This is from MicroCells FAQ.
"What kind of phone do I need to work with the AT&T 3G MicroCell device?
An AT&T 3G or 4G cell phone or smartphone is required to work with the AT&T 3G MicroCell device."
You can read more about your phone here... https://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB110
