This is one I've not seen before ???
Flashing Green 3G - Can still make calls.
Has worked fine for 2 years with occassional resets, until NOW !
I power cycle, get good network, and GPS, even 3G locks on, and all is cool.
After a few minutes, something happens, the green 3G begins flashing green .... YET THE PHONES SHOW CONNECTED AND CAN STILL MAKE CALLS !!!
As some british vacuum guy on TV (Dyson), "I just think things should work properly".
Ideas welcome !

I am having the same issue which started in the last few days. I have tried rebooting the device serveral times. As the other person said, the device still seems to be working becuase I can make and receive calls when it is flashing.

This particular problem has come up from time to time. Best guess is that the MicroCell was updated by AT&T and is resetting itself after the update. For some reason, either the update didn't work but didn't "brick" the MicroCell (flashing red 3G light) or it did work, and for some reason the 3G light won't hold a steady green. Either way, keep an eye on it. If you don't have any problems then all is well. Otherwise, a complete power cycle may correct the blinking green 3G light so that it remains steady.

re-read my original posting … The device has been power cycled unit comes up, steady Green, for say 10 minutes?, then goes blinking green, yet still woks …
That is not the way it should be !

I agree that's not the way it should be, but I had to power cycle mine at one time twice before the blinking 3G went away. If you don't see any degradation in service, then I'd leave it for now. Maybe it will correct itself. There could be some work being done on the tower that the MicroCell is connecting to resulting in the MicroCell thinking it doesn't have a tower connection. Just a guess on my part though. AT&T can do some funny things without anyone knowing about it. If you see your service go south and you've tried all of the obvious troubleshooting things (including de-registering/re-registering) then send a pm to ATTCustomeCare (the blue envelope at the top right of the page) detaling your problem and what you've done;

Mine was doing similer things before, just wondering here, when you "power cycle" , how long does it take before it is up and running?
Mine takes about 8-10 minutes.

10 minutes is a little long but not too bad i guess, still though, the GPS is "struggling" to find itself.....i am convinced that almost ALL the microcell problems are GPS related, i believe that the "updates" everyone speaks about have something to do with the GPS settings and even though it is lit solid green, its still a problem (it was with my original microcell AND the replacement so im 2 for 2 on my theroy anyway)

after hours on the line,I got to a supervisor who knew what she is doing...
She said there is a problem in the southeast.. so maybe it gets fixed when the real techies come back to work on Monday (oopps Holiday), probably out until Tuesday

I am in the same boat. I had the problem of flashing green and not working, and made the mistake of de-registering and trying to re-register. It was unresponsive for all of yesterday, and for some reason this morning I noticed that I was getting 5 bars and ATT M-Cell notation on my iPhone 4S. I just had a long phone call with a relative, so it seems to be working fine, just says it isn't.
I'm in the Southeast too: I'm gratified to hear that AT&T has acknowleged this is a network problem on their end: I'm going to relax and let them deal with it.

Just an update ... AT&T fixed their glitch, and my Microcell has been rock solid all week .. and BTW it is on an iPhone 5.
Thanks AT&T ... you fixed it!
